Review: CHANGELING by Vaun Murphrey

When the girls are forced to flee Earth to escape being the next target of a deranged Axsian fugitive, they end up getting much more than they bargained for. Their guardian, Kal, couldn't possibly have prepared them for the chaos and intrigue of his home world. Can Silver and Cassandra put aside their differences and work together to make it through alive? Find out in CHANGELING, Book Two of the Weaver Series. - Goodreads.com

I got this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review. Of course I got it some time in the beginning of 2015, and have only just now gotten to reading it. My apologies for that, I am a tad distracted lately.

I rated this book 4/5 stars. I did like this book a lot. There were a few things that made me take away a star, but over all it wasn't bad.

Silver just came off the wrong way a lot of the time to me. You would think that she would be a little more grateful when people and Axsians are doing what they can for her to help her gain control of her powers and find out more about who she is. Instead she treats them almost worse than the dirt that is under her bare feet.

Her relationship with Mez sort of threw me off guard. I didn't realize that humans and Axsians were physically compatible and does the whole "don't touch skin-to-skin" thing just go out the window when she is with her Bindao? How does that work?! It's like Silver doesn't care at all about the rules Kal put into place to protect her from herself. She does whatever she wants whenever she wants to do it with almost no regard toward anyone else's safety.

In spite of all of that, I loved the book. The way Vaun tells the story kept me hooked from the first digital page. I regret that it took me as long as it did to actually start reading this one and to finish it. I am already reading the third volume (VECTOR) and I hope to get it done soon as well and get the review up as quickly as possible.

April Wrap-Up 2016

Hello my lovelies. It's once again time for the monthly wrap-up post where I tell you all about the books I've read. Unfortunately it is also Camp NaNoWriMo this month, so I ended up hardly reading at all. I finished 1 book for the entire month of April. Let's talk about it!!!

Book #1: CHANGELING by Vaun Murphrey

When the girls are forced to flee Earth to escape being the next target of a deranged Axsian fugitive, they end up getting much more than they bargained for. Their guardian, Kal, couldn't possibly have prepared them for the chaos and intrigue of his home world. Can Silver and Cassandra put aside their differences and work together to make it through alive? Find out in CHANGELING, Book Two of the Weaver Series.

I got this book for review from NetGalley. I'd read the first one and had so thoroughly enjoyed it that I immediately went and requested the other three  books that were currently out in the series.

I am working on a review currently, so if you want to know my thoughts on it, just go over there to see it. I will link it as soon as it's ready and up.
